Becoming a host family
Host families and Host Homes
Oxford College of English is always interested in hearing from potential host families and host homes. If you live in a nice clean and tidy house and have a spare bedroom or bedrooms we invite you to go on our register. If we are able to place students with you, our accommodation manager will be in touch to arrange an appointment. Please note the following:
- Oxford: You must live in Oxford or the immediate area including Kidlington
- Torbay: You must live in the area known as Torbay including Kingskerswell
- You must have a bedroom for the sole use of students; they are not allowed to share a room with any member of your own family.
- Your home must be fitted with smoke detectors
- You must be prepared to provide meals

Teachers looking for English teaching jobs
Oxford College of English is always pleased to hear from suitably qualified English teachers who are looking for teaching jobs either on a full time, part time or seasonal basis. Even if we are not immediately able to offer employment, we invite teachers to register their interest and get on our mailing list.
