If you are interested in sailing or learning to sail, our English language course in Torquay is a brilliant way of combining two quite different, but equally demanding and fulfilling activities. Learn English in the mornings and we will arrange your sailing course around our afternoon activities.
Royal Yachting Association Level 1 Sailing Course
The Royal Yachting Association is the national body for all forms of recreational and competitive boating
If you are a beginner, then this is the sailing course for you! The sailing course takes 9 hours and is divided into three, 3 hour sessions. When you have sucessfully completed the course, you will be awarded a Royal Yachting Association Certificate.
If you have some previous sailing experience, depending on your ability, you could be awarded a higher certificate. The cost of the sailing course, including the use of sailing waterproofs and all the safety gear is:
£14 per hour making a total Course cost of £126. Fun Sail
If perhaps, you are not sure if sailing is for you, but would like to 'have a go' and enjoy an afternoon on a sailing boat, then this is an opportunity you should not miss!
This three hour session consists of a fun sail, learning all about a boat and how it works. This includes turning, stopping and starting, whilst enjoying a sail across the Bay. At the end of this course you will receive an RYA 'taster' certificate, and hopefully it will encourage you to do more sailing.
The total cost of the fun sailing course is £36 including the use of sailing waterproofs and all the safety gear
