Torquay is the perfect location for an English language course. Students travel from all over the world to enjoy an educational holiday in one of the most beautiful parts of south-west England. Torquay, together with the small town of Paignton and the fishing port of Brixham forms an area known as Torbay. Torbay has a 35km coastline with sandy beaches, red and yellow sandstone cliffs, exotic plants, palm trees, beautiful gardens, harbours and marinas. Warmed by the Gulf Stream and naturally protected from the Atlantic, Torbay enjoys one of the mildest climates in England and is known as the 'English Riviera'. If you want to learn English and have a holiday by the sea, Torquay is the best place for you. Our courses are based directly in Torbay and excursions are arranged to Dartmoor, Plymouth, Exeter and Brixham. The Mediterranean-type landscape, together with the availability of a variety of water sports, boat trips, nightlife and a truly international atmosphere, makes Torbay ideal for the student who wishes to combine a language course with a traditional holiday by the sea. The day trip to Dartmouth is always popular and a great way of seeing Torbay. The river Dart is one of the most picturesque estuaries in Britain | |

Ann-Maria Mueller 'The weather is changing a lot, at least in spring, but you have wonderful countryside and very green and clean streets...I enjoyed my stay here, I swam in the sea (although it was very cold) and was amazed about the palms and the beach. When I first went on a bus here I noticed that most of the english people are very polite. So for example are the drivers greeting you every morning and the people are standing in a line for getting in the bus'
Cedric Mathieu 'Torquay is a great city because the people are friendly...you can see many buildings, parks and houses, which are interesting. Torquay is a very good place to learn english'
